Canada Student Visa & How it Works?

In general, you must apply for a study permit before coming to Canada. Some people can apply for a study permit from within Canada. In some cases, you can apply when you arrive in Canada at the port of entry. Make sure you understand your options.

Over 130,000 students come to Canada to study each year. To do so, they must first obtain a study permit from the Canadian government. This permit, a type of Temporary Resident Visa (TRV), allows students to study in Canada for a limited time and typically indicates the educational institution and course of study. To be eligible, an applicant must meet a set of criteria.
